Let’s talk gondola, I’ve been surprised by how often people have asked me about it. I am fully aware that congestion is a problem and that the constant heavy volume is hard on the ecosystem. However, I do not agree with a project that will cost millions of taxpayer dollars to only serve a couple of resorts. These resorts are privately owned and would reap the benefit of the gondola while it would go right by the trails that are used by backcountry skiers, hikers, and snowshoers. Before we spend money on an unproven project would it be better to try other possibilities such as incentives to carpool, alternate access days based on license plate numbers, more buses, or even an extreme answer of closing to vehicles besides buses/trams?
